1. Konopiste castle - 60 km, 1/2 day
the most visited castle and the romantic Gothic residence of the Crown Prince Franz Ferdinand d'Este with the extensive park and valuable interiors (rich collection of historical weapons and armour, hunting trophies, historical furniture, dishes..)
2. Karlstejn castle - 40 km, 1/2 day - expensive and not as interesting
the Gothic castle situated in the beautiful landscape, in the past it housed the crown jewels of the Holy Roman Empire and served as a recreation place for the Czech King and the Roman Emperor Charles IV.
3. Mělník castle and wine-cellars - 70 km, 1/2 day
Visit to the beatiful halls of this Renaissance chateau situated on the confluence of the Vltava and Labe Rivers, entertainment in the wine-cellar - sampling the local wine.
4. Nelahozeves castle and its gallery - 60 km, 1/2 day
Excursion to the Renaissance chateau and Lobkowitz gallery housing an exceptional collection of paintings (Brueghel, Rubens, Cranach). Can combine it with the nearby Veltrusy chateau
5. Southern Bohemia - 310 km, a whole day's excursion

Visit to the former concentration camp where many people suffered and died during the Nazi occupation. Jewish Museum of the Holocaust, cemetery and the Big and Small Fortress.
9. Glass works in Nizbor - 80 km, 1/2 day
Excursion to the glass works - typical production of the renowned Czech crystal.(Open only on the weekdays). Possibility of combining glass works with the visit to Karlstejn chateau.
